Rated 5 out of 5 Long Hard Stiff Rod
Purchased the Daiwa Emcast Plus/ Ocean Master combo rod 11'. Great rod. Easily handles 5-10oz weights. I think 8oz was really the sweet spot. This rod is very stiff and the heavier weight gave it a little spring when casting out that helped propel the weight further. Would definately recommend to a friend

The Ocean Master Surf Rod was used to bring in 23 to 31 inch catfish on the York River. Then I caught some nice size croaker, and speckle trout off the surf at Grandveiw Beach in Hampton Va.. This Rod handles well with all types of wt, and Storm shad lures which I enjoy using..

I use this rod for flathead catfishing. It's worked out very well for me so far.I needed a rod that could throw an honest 12 ozs, this rod really fills the bill. It's a comfortable rod to cast as well,i'd definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to throw 10+ ounces over 100 yds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OBX4EVER OM-11 . . . OCEAN MASTER
I have several Ocean Master surf rods (mostly conventional ) and am extremely pleased with all of them!
For spinning reels, the OM-11 is an incredible all-around fishing rod. It is easy to load and has excellent backbone to fight large fish, either from the beach or piers.
I have a DAIWA BG-90 Black Gold reel on my OM-11, spooled with 20lb BERKELEY BIG GAME monofilament.
If you get the OM-11 or any of the other OCEAN MASTER Surf Rods, you will be very happy and enjoy fishing them for many years !
