I just bought my second OM surf rod. The first was a 10 ft spinning rod model. I use that rod for saltwater and for throwing big baits to stripers from the bank on Lake Lanier. My new rod is a 12 foot 3-6 oz casting rod. I was already impressed with the quality of these rods now I'm completly sold. These rods perform better than most surf rods that cost twice as much.

I have 3 OM12 heavy and 2 OM12 lite rods and have gotten great results from. I just purchsed a OM10 lite too. The OM rods are the best that I have had for pier and surfe fishing. The OM12H will throw anything you are man enough to throw and the OM12 LITE will handle 6oz and bait real good. Paired with PENN 525,535,545,and 555's they caint be beat.

Put a C4 on the OM10SCM and man what a combo. The rod puts it out there and the reel looks good on it because its the same color. Hook up a 32 in red drum in the surf , got it in with no problem. Would love to have one in a red color to go with my 6000 abu. Best rod I'v ever had for the surf..

Teamed the 12' up with a Penn 525mag. What a great combo for the surf! Smooth casting and gets great distance with this combo. Brought in a nice shark with ease. OM rods are a great buy and this one is no exception.
