Offshore Angler™ Magibraid™ Spectra® is made from revolutionary Spectra fibers, producing a braided line that's waterproof and 100% UV-resistant, with a 40% smaller diameter than monofilament, superior abrasion resistance, and a low stretch of 3%. Offshore Angler Magibraid™ Spectra is more expensive, but you can catch more, bigger fish, and it lasts 4 times longer than mono. We think Offshore Magibraid Spectra is worth it. 300 yard spool.
abrasion resistance - low
I used megibraid for the first time when I went fishing for amberjack and tuna in the gulf. The line is softer and thinner than other braided line used. The problem occurred when either a fish or structure rubbed the line , it would fray. Since the line was very thin, any fraying reduced the strengh. I lost more fish than I was able to bring to the boat. The cost of the lost lures/tackle exceeded the price of the the braid.

This line seems to be great, have not used it in the water yet but have been practicing my pitching and flippin and have not had any issues

Smooth casting, Good Value
I have this in 30 lb on an older 2500 series framed spinning Daiwa, usually on a 6 1/2 ft med action Pfluger rod. Very smooth casting, with the right lure, not just heavy, this will cast a long, long distance. Very similar handling as Power Pro. The only issue with this line is that it does have some twist at first. I just let all the line out, no lure or weight, behind the boat and reel it back in with a little finger tension, that fixed that. And it has a rare property to it, its made in the USA!
