I purchased this rod for a fishing trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I use a 240SX US Reel which will hold almost 300 yrds of 20# Excel Braid and a 12 ft XPS 25# flourocarbon leader. This is a fantastic combination with great balance. This rod has great casting capabilities and plenty of backbone to bring it the stripers. I highly recommend this combination.

Recently purchased the 8ft6in spinning rod for sheephead fishing in NE Florida. Great! Paired it with a Shimano Sustain 4000fe, It enables you to reach out and drop your fiddler crab right at the base of the rocks and with its' sensitive tip it's perfect! I will be purchasing a second soon!

There are more expensive rods out there but this is as good as you can get for the dollar spent. Sensitive, strong, great casting, and inexpensive... what more can you ask?

This is the highest rated 2-piece 7ft. spinning rod (30lb.) that I was able to find. It breaks down into 42" pieces which makes it ideal for a travel rod, it also wiil fit into a golf bag. The quality is exceptional . It should be able to hold tarpon, snook, cobia etc. with ease. I'm using a 8000 Shimano baitrunner reel spooled with 25 lb. test florocarbon line. Great balance- can't wait to use it.
