after over a month of waiting (If you are ordering to Guam don't go standard shiping) I finally got the Gaff and am truly disapointed feels flimsy from the shaft thats pretty much a cheap fishing pole to the cheap hook.

I ordered the 3' gaff and am very satisfied. It is perfect for kayak fishing and gaffing those fish that won't be released. It is lightweight, but durable. Think of a stout boat rod cut down to 3' long with a sharp hook on the end. You can't go wrong for this price, it's definitely a good buy.

I bought the heavy gaff, it is suitable for near shore salt water use. It is not near as sturdy as the aluminum gaffs and is like a heavy duty fishing rod blank with a gaff hook attached. I would recommend it for bay of near shore use, not really and offshore caliber gaff.

For the money you can't beat this gaff. It is strong & well built. I use it for large blue catfish & it works great.
