Used for catching herring in the murky Hudson River,NY.
Rigs worked better than some others we tried! The herring seemed to like this color better than others!
I will be purchasing more for next season..

This sabiki rig is alot less than the name brand ones but does the job well. We use them to catch live bait. I have had every hook loaded with bait fish with no break offs.

there are two differant rigs in each size. i was wondering what the hook sizes were for each rig.Answers
A:Â
The larger number size is the larger hook the first few packs I ordered I bought the size 6 ans I expected them be like a normal size 6 hook and they were super tiny. I ordered more in the size 10 or 12 (can't remember and they were much bigger and more useful. I use them to catch skipjack herringDetails:Â
I purchased some offshore angler sabiki rigs and the #8 hooks are bigger than the #6 hooks. If they are american hooks then the #6 should be bigger then the #8. I want to purchase bigger hooks so I need to now if I need #10 or #4 hooks. Not sure if they are american or japan hooks. Thanks BrianAnswers

The larger the number size for the hook the bigger the hook. I order some size 6 thinking they would be a standard size 6 hook and they were really small. I then order the 3rd largest number up (10 or 12 I believe) and they were perfect. Also they have heavier leader line and branch line. These are great for catching skipjack herringA:Â
It shouldn't matter whether they are American or Japanese. The go by the same scale. The #4 hook should be bigger and the #10 should be smaller I use the #6 and #8 for skipjack and they run tru for the ones I have purchased.Details:Â
The Offshore sabiki rig, 38-450-108-00 says it has #10 size hooks. Is that a Japanese hook size or the USA hook size?Answers
