I do not trust regular snaps for my crankbait fishing. What I like about this product is that it facilatates a quick change but is strong enough to make feel secure that it will bring in any bass that I hook.

I got the 20lb version. Ive never had a problem with these. i even open these up and use small barrel swivels to make barrel swivel snaps when I think I need them.....

I build my own leaders for fishing for croaker. They are easy to use and replace if they get bent. I will continue using them in the future.

I remove the split ring on lipless cranks but usually leave it on for billed baits. My advice is to observe it in the water, you can usually tell when it's swimming right by visual observation.

This varies with every crank bait. You need to decide by looking at it if you think it will help the action of the lure or hurt it .Also, if the snap you are using is real small, you might have problems with it working itself into the split ring.1 of 1
