Very Good Purchase Works better than expected because the price was soo low. This is a must have will be happy with your purchase. September 26, 2010
crab rings that work These traps are perfect for use when setting a long line of crab traps from a boat. They pack flat and take up little room in the boat. When lowered to the bottom they lay flat and very seldom get twisted in the fall. When checking them simply pull straight up with a steady pressure on the line and they open and lift the crabs to the surface and into the boat. They only thing I change is the bridle line that comes on them. It is very thin and does not hold up to repeated use. I change it out for a nylon line and it works fine. June 22, 2010

Im heading to the keys and was planning on fishing the bridges. With a stronger bridle, could this be used to retrieve my catch, assuming it was just some snapper, grouper, and other smaller fish?

No I don't think it would hold up. Probably only durable for smaller(no more than 8 inches in length) very light weight.
