Conforms to all IGFA line class requirements and has an extra-heavy wax impregnation to protect it from nicks and chafes. This protection also helps preserve the extended life of the line when used as backing behind a monofilament top shot, which is the preferred setup of many state-of-the-art big-game operations worldwide. Whether you fish all Dacron or splice in mono, Magibraid is the finest Dacron line available today. Made in USA.
Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by too thick i' m new to braided line. Bought several different types, but this ones like twice or larger than the thickness of sufix or power pro. Don't wast your money on this. April 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by EXcellent for Non-fishing applications I only bought this line because of two things: it's black and ultra thin. I am a recording engineer, classical music, and the need to pull microphone lines into position is almost always a necessity. As far as pull strings are concerned, having a line that is strong, yet ultra thing and black is very important. I've been using this line extensively in our performance hall, and even in our nearly white room, the line is practically invisible. April 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by good all around line We use this line for everything. We've caught grouper, snapper, ling, kings, wahoo, dolphin, amberjack, and recently I caught my first sailfish using the 80lb line. The thin diameter helps trolling lures dive deeper and the low stretch characteristics make it great for ripping large groupers out of the rig structure. August 26, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by bad line we tried to use this line in a lake with in 5 minutes line was frayed so bad broke instintly without getting a bite was able to keep it in the water long enough to hook 1 fish about 2# broke off as soon as got close to the bank will never try braided line again July 22, 2011

i was considering the 80lb for my snagging rod and was wondering if anyone has used it and how well it casts and the overall performance as a snagging line

A:
I have not used this line for snagging, but used EXCLUSIVELY for my Trophy Blue Catfish charter service. The line has excellent knot strength and has NEVER broken, even with 100 pound blue catfish on the hook.

You will not be disappointed with the 80 and/or 130 pound braid for snagging.

This Dacron Braid is not hollow core but tightly woven and compressed then lined with a proprietary finish for ease of casting.

A:
Yes. If you are going to splice in topshots into the smaller diameters it can be tough but done with some patience and a regular sewing needle to open it up. Larger ones are no problem with a needle from a splicing kit.
