Rated 5 out of 5 by Offshore Angler Captains Choice combo's I ordered two of the CCL350 Saltwater reel and rod combos. I used this this weekend and they worked great. Landed some Tuna, and about a 150 lb shark. No problems they worked flawlessly. April 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by good reel ok rod I used this item on a party boat, fishing off the continental shelf. The reel worked fantastic. I only fish a couple times a year. And this is comparable to my penn 330. But the rod is too stiff. There is very little sensitivity. You have to have a fish grab pretty hard before you know its there. And the reel did not seem to fit very well in the rod saddle. It was lined up and tightened but kept shaking with each crank of the reel. Still caught several fish though. June 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Rod Bought this rod to fish offshore. Have hooked up with everything but a Tuna with it, and it has performed flawlessly. Looking to buy a couple more over the next few months and phase out my smaller rods. April 24, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Biggest Fish I Ever Caught I used one of these riggs while shark fishing off Cape Canaveral a few weeks ago. First my son caught a black tip reef shark, we released it and then is was mine turn. About 20 minutes later, I got a strike and in another 20 minutes, I pulled up a 10 foot, 250 pound lemon shark. The rod and reel worked perfectly and and it was the biggest fish and best fight I ever had. It has a great price too. I highly recomend the Captains Choice! April 26, 2008
