Matched with either our Captain's Choice CC40 or CC60 Reel, the Ocean Master Stand-Up Rods offer the perfect balance of power and lightweight performance. Outfitted with Fuji® DPS big game reel seats, Stuart® machined-aluminum gimbals with protective caps, AFTCO® roller stripper and tip with Fuji guides between, our exclusive triangular grip and our dependable graphite composite blanks.

The Captain's Choice CC40 and CC60 Reels were deliberately overbuilt to meet the challenges big fish present. The reels feature rigid, one-piece aluminum frame which keeps the frame flex-free even under heavy strain, keeping the internals in-line and operating smoothly. Inside, a stainless steel pinion gear and 4 stainless steel ball bearings deliver crisp steady retrieves, and the stacked multi-washer drag offers efficient, dependable performance no matter how much pressure you need to apply.

It is not set up for casting. Use if for trolling or mooching heavy bottom fish.

I wouldn't recommend it, not unless you have been lifting weights for awhile and built up body mass. All kidding aside thes rods were made to be trolled or if you balloon float live bait from a dock or bridge.
