Rated 4 out of 5 by Better than other 6/0 reels Bought this reel last spring, and have been using it heavily at the Savannah Snapper Banks. After dozens of red snapper, big gag and scamp grouper, amberjacks, cobia, and sharks, this reel is still going. The drag locks down tight to pull big grouper out of the rocks. The drag isn't especially smooth, so I wouldn't recommend it for trolling or tarpon. However, this reel was designed for bottom fishing and works exceptionally well for that purpose. Rated 1 out of 5 by Look at something else ! Returned after catching 5 Tarpon in Septemper 2007, Purchased May 2007 and sat un-used until Sept. 2007 Very Very Very Poor Drag. Locks up then goes into almost free spool. May be a good anchor. Good News is the staff at Ft. Myers is GREAT! Purchased as a combo, Got very fair credit on just the reel. Exchanged/Upgraded reel, got new free line, Highly recomend the Fishing Department and Staff at Ft. Myers store. Everyone friendly and helpful !!! I AM VERY HAPPY WITH NEW REEL !!!!!
