Admittedly not much of a saltwater fisherman i try to make it to the Captiva area for snook and reds every year. bought this along with a 7'6 rod to see if i could land a shark on it. sitting on our private dock using slashed ladyfish as bait we had more fun than i ever thought possible. 3-4ft lemons and bulls provided a blast, and the occasional 5-6ft nurse gave a great almost flathead catfish like fight. only shark we lost was a big angry bull who took the bait and headed for texas. well over 8 ft but the line broke before the reel did. good stuff!

It is a great reel, i've had mine for 2 years now and can handle very large fish. I spooled mine with 30# and easily brought in a 25 pound Durado.The manufacture of this reel also sells this same reel under the name ABU GARCIA SEASCAPE GT 4/0 in Europe. Check for yourself on Google.

This reel was given to me for Father's Day and it was a pleasant surprise. It is very rugged and dependable. I like the quality of this reel and would highly recommend. Be sure to breakin the drag prior to going out fishing, otherwise it may slip on you while reeling in a big fish.

hello, i bought this reel a few years back and i have used it many times over and over, i try to keep a well maintained care and clean for the reel, but recently my spool tension screw broke and stripped from the reel and i was wandering if there is any way i can get just the part instead of another whole reel.Answers
