Good Gaff - Gets it Done! This gaff is perfect for the fisherman who needs something small that he can tote in his tackle box for those occasions when the fish is just too big to crank up to the pier or bridge rail with the rod. Just remember, there are laws against gaffing certain species - if you gaff it, you kill it. Also, you have to judge the length of your catch to make sure it is of legal length before gaffing. Otherwise, best to use a pier net. August 20, 2012
Good gaff but WAYYYY Overpriced This is a very nice gaff, but I was shocked to see it was $69 at my local bass pro!!!!! This item has the same hooks as the offshore angler gaffs and each one of those is priced at $11.99 so this product should be at the most a $40 product. Anyways I had to buy it since I was going peer fishing that day but I sure hate to overpay so much for something. If they lowered the price then it would be getting 5 stars. October 26, 2011
great for the job! When pier fishing it's always a good idea to have a bridge gaff on hand. Bringing large fish up on a pier is simple ans easy with this gaff. Stainless steel you know will not rust out so I'm expecting to get many years out of this puppy. August 9, 2011

You push it below the fish. It won't get there any other way.
