The Octane pro is a good accurate rest but the brushes wear out after 800 - 1000 arrows and you need to replace them. If you shoot in the back yard @30 arrows a day in 2 months or so you will need to replace the bottom and side brushes.

This was a good buy and fixed the issue of loose brushes getting shot out.
Story: When I swapped from a regular hostage to a pro at the archery shop, the counter guy insisted on doing the install since they "misordered" an original when I bought the bow and not the "Pro" that I paid for. As a consequence he left the brush screws loose and I should have checked them before sighting the bow in. ... after a few shots the bottom brush and screw went flying down the target range and I never found it since it was the dark colored one which blended in with the ground. I checked the other brush screws then and they were also loose .... lesson learned. Strange things happen when you trust your bow to strangers ;)
I purchased this from Bass Pro Shops since it had the bottom brush in the pack. Thanks BPS!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by HBBIII Outstanding Arrow Rest
Keep in mind that the Octane Hostage Pro and Whisker Biscuit are totally different concepts. Both products are viable. But, for my money, the Pro is outstanding on high performance bows like the PSE Bow Madness XL. Read the instructions and understand that you do not want all three brushes forced against your arrow. You need 1/8 to 1/16 inch in particular on the upper brushes. Will there be some brush wear? Yes, in particular on the bottom resting brush; but, only after numerous, numerous practice shots. My accuracy increased after moderate tuning and I scored big time in the field this year.

I read all the reviews and most indicated that the brushes wear too fast. Well its true the brushes wear and accuracy declines. If you maintain the brushes...you maintain your accuracy.
