The seat is extremely comfortable. Backrest is high enough to offer a good deal of support, and the seat portion, though it looks a little thin, actually provides plenty of cushion. I haven't been able to use it on a long trip, yet, but I have been very pleased with its comfort and performance while doing some light test-paddling. The only down side I have found is that my Aegean Ocean Kayak, which is an older tandem model, only has one set of attachment points for the middle seat when paddling solo. It still functions pretty well, though.

I weigh only 180lbs and when i use the seat for the first time, one of the straps broke. Built very cheap.
