Great Climbing Stand
As far as climbing this stand is probably the easiest and sturdiest for going up a tree as any climber I have used. I wish it had a better seat on it, but then it wouldn't be as compact as it is. It's great for bow hunting as the seat keeps you parallel with the bar and you can easily shoot sitting down where on other climbers the bar gets in the way. It's not the lightest climber there is, but isn't very heavy. Although it folding up is a nice feature sometimes that can be a pain when carrying unless you use bungee cords or something to keep it folded.

Purchased this stand just before the start of the 2011 hunting season. The net seat that comes on it is the most comfortable seat i have ever hunted out of. The stand is pretty light and very easy to walk with as is folds up to become very compact. I mostly bowhunt and this version comes with a bar that can be flipped around allowing you to use it as a foot rest and have nothing in your way when drawing back. I purchased a bow holder for it which works great too.

I own an older version of the Ol Man Grand Vision Steel. These stands are very sturdy. Once the secondary straps that go around the front of the tree are secure, you have very little movement especially while seated (on the top portion, or standing on the lower platform). As with any treestand, always where a safelty strap/belt and use care as to where you place you body weight.
The Stand is sturdy when climbing. I have owned/ used many stands over the years but the Ol'man is my favorite. I am a pretty big guy and the Ol'man Multvision grand works well for me. No problems with climbing. I feel very secure in it
