Purchased 24 of the leaders and most of them had poor quality snaps on them. The snaps were hard to open and close with bent metal and weak for 40 lb test. I removed all the snaps and put better snaps on them, made the cost go way up but now have good leaders.

Purchased these along with the following: Crappie Bites, Swivel Snaps, Wire Snaps, Rods, Reels Etc. I have NEVER been dissappointed with a purchase from Bass Pro. I am a loyal customer that's been shopping there for years. Online service is simple quick and easy. In store purchases are always enjoyable and the staff at the San Antonio store is knowledgeable and friendly. I will continue to support Bass Pro stores for my sporting good needs, and highly recommend others do the same.

The leaders by themselves are fine. However. the interlock snap at the end of the leader is not just difficult to use, but so difficult that it caused each of my thumb nails to split. I would not buy these again, ever.

These leaders were exactly what I needed. I can open and close these - there are some product that I can not operate due to only one hand. I can use these!

don't know the diameter. don't think they can see the leaderA:Â
They do come in various pound weight as well as leader line length. The leader line is available in either black or silver, the fish would see that as well as any other line in the water.Details:Â
I don't quite understand how to use these leaders. I'd use them for surf fishing. I imagine the barrel part hooks to my main line swivel... but how do I attach a hook? Does the hook attach straight onto the snap swivel? Wouldn't that look a bit clunky right next to my bait? Thanks for any help.

Your hook attaches to the snap hook, attach a snap hook to the end of your line on your pole. You attach the barrel swivel to that snap hook as well as a weight. That allows your bait to float off the bottom but still be secure by the weight. You can use it surf casting, from a boat, freshwater fishing. That set up is a carolina rig.Answers
