Delivering consistent and reliable performance for more than 61 years, the Partition line of bullets from Nosler® yields controlled expansion and penetration with extreme accuracy, shot after shot. This versatile design comes in calibers as small as .224 all the way up to .458, allowing you to shoot the same bullet with all your guns. Nosler's special lead alloy, dual core provides superior mushrooming performance at virtually all impact velocities. The Partition's fully tapered copper jacket gradually thickens along the bullet's axis, controlling the core's mushroom for controlled, uniform expansion. An integral partition separates the bullet's two cores, holding two-thirds of the bullet's original weight in the rear core to fuel a deep penetration every time. Special crimp locks help the bullet resist deformation, even with the heaviest of magnum loads. Each Partition bullet is designed by Nosler engineers to give you the optimum length, weight, and ogive design for each caliber to give you maximum flight and terminal performance. Minimum impact velocity: 1800 fps.

I have used Partition for many years. It has never failed to do the job. I have a 6.5x55 Swedish Carbine with a 17 inch barrel. My load supposedly produces 2600 FPS. After deducting 50 FPS per inch of barrel the guesstimate is around 2200 FPS. This past season I had a nice buck standing about 60 yards in front of me facing dead away with his tail up. I aimed for the "bullseye" and it dropped like it was hit by lightning. I hit right where I was aiming and the Partition exited the front of his neck.

This Nosler 120 grain partition bullet at near max loads of IMR 4350 with this rifle is a tack driver, day in and day out, and makes for a great deer to elk gun. Zero to 300 yard shots are not a problem with a good rest.

Nosler Partition bullets are the standard to which all other bullets are judged. I have used these bullets in various calibers (.243, .270, 7x64, 8x57JS, 30.06, 7mm Rem Mag and 9.3x62). Every animal that I have harvested were quick clean kills. No meat damage on any. I have hunted Namibia (Zebra, Kudu, Warthog, Oryx and Red Hartebeest), Germany (Roe, Pigs, Fox and Badger), North America (Deer and Bear). The precison and accuracy provided by these bullets are beyond compare. They mushroom at all velocities and are the only bullets that I trust to hunt and perform humane kill shots. You will not be disappointed!

I have shot the 165 partitions for years. Best shot was a mule deer in New Mexico a little better than 600 yards from my 300 Weatherby Mag. Great bullet for bigger critters.
I shoot 150 grain BT's for these small Texas deer. The bullet diameter and length are so consistant they are hard to beat. For accuracy, can't beat them in my book. If you place the bullet correctly, the deer absorbs all the energy the bullet has to deliver.
