if you want a silver weedless spoon this is the one to get, just cast it a few times and all the finish comes off, what a joke

Don't buy these lures right now, as the finish will start coming off in just a few casts! I talked to Northland in MN about the problem. They are aware of it, and will be coming out with new epoxy-coated lures in the next few months designed to fix this problem.
Meanwhile, if you have already purchased some of the old models where the finish has chipped off, you may want to send them back to Northland for replacement.
When the new lures come out (with a finish that doesn't flake off), I will be giving them a 5 star rating, -as I have caught a lot of fish on them, especially smallmouth bass.

I received this lure as a gift. I caught Northern Pike and small muskie at will during a one week vacation. However the painted surface started to chip and peel until the painted surface was totally gone. I recently ordered three (3) more identical lures. Within twenty (20) casts the painted surface has come off!! I am disapointed as I had good success with the first lure, but the finish is defective. I have not yet had time to return these lures when I was asked for this review. "Bumed"

I bought this spoon on a fishing trip last week at BP and after 6 casts I noticed the "sticker" peeling off and rendering this spoon useless. First bad review I've ever written. This was a waste of 5 bucks. The spoon looked impressive in the package. I bought the Baby Bass spoon and after 6 casts the baby bass hologram was half gone, and not from fish attacking it, but from getting wet! I only bought one, so it is possible that this was a fluke, it will be interesting to see if others have the same problem
