Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by my biggest bass yet today i went to the golf course and i was fishing in a small pond. i didnt even know if it had a fish in it. so i tied on a chartreuse black back mad n and a violet shad fat boy. i like both of these lures but with the mad n i caught about a 5 pound bass. wish i could have got a picture. August 15, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not so much I am a huge Norman fan, BUT this one is not a winner. Not sure why, but I havent caught anything on this. I have the Chart/black back. Has a hard wobble. I have owned this bait for two years, and NADA. I have even thrown into some gnarly junk, hoping to lose it, and it keeps coming back, without a fish on it. Try the Middle N instead. March 5, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Catches fish Used this lure in the fire firetiger color at a local shallow pond and it worked great. Ran deeper than I thought it would so I did a slow roll retrieve with rod tip up and caught 5 on it so far. Great clear coat finish, and good price. March 3, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by not a very good investment it looks really good so i decided to buy it, bad idea. it swims strange and does not catch fish. if you are reading this learn from my mistake, DO NOT BUY IT. January 27, 2011

If you can't find it on line at BPS, in that particular color, try Bill Norman lures, on line. That is the factory. You might be able to find what you are looking for there.

my best suggestion is anything by cotten cordel... awsome for bass pike and pickerel.

From my man cave where I make them? Sorry, I know of no specific coffin or square billed lure with a "hard" side to side action. The lip is intended to reduce snags and the hard side to side causes snags as the treble hook swings outside of the bill profile.

Mine were mistakes. LOL

I recommend the Bandit 100 series. They are reasonably priced and have what you want. Bomber square A is another. XCaliber square bill is another one. All of these are reasonably priced and work exactly as you want. Match the forage, plus water color and you should do well.

The one that they are hitting today - LOL.

I prefer the colors that match the baitfish in my area, or the crayfish, unless the water is .....................

Sorry, there is no "one" color that is BEST.

The color of the water generally answers this question best...dark colors or chartruse for stained/muddy water and lighter colors for clear water.

lurecollector you ask to many questions for starters
i must have answered about 50 of them so far at least
the best color for bass in this lure would be something that mimics what the fish want in your area
try the bass pro exclusive 30 sunfish
looks great and make a review on how it works if you decide to buy

I have been using the "Original" Norman lures as they are closer to realistic paint jobs. I have used them for at least 15 years and they still catch a lot of fish. Can't argue with that success rate.

They are both tools, as as such, both work equally well, depending on the conditions and day.

I find the Norman Coffin Lip a little better at bouncing off rocks but the Nitro a little better bouncing off timber.

Both have a respected place in my tackle box(s)

BPS sells both, so that is hard to answer. If a picture from the front or bottom was available it would be possible to give a reasonably accurate answer.
