Tried Luminocks - never satisfied, hit or miss if the nock would light. Second year using Nockturnals - every nock has done it''s job, every time!. Took 3 deer last week in NY State - each was a late afternoon shot, followed the shot each time. Quick recovery of both nock and deer each time.

I purchased these last summer, shot two deer and both shots made it very easy to find that arrow. The second i would have never found.. They work every time and don't change arrow flight, and as far as speed, dont notice. I have had friends who have tried the other brands such as easton,, and they are junk. very happy and will never hunt without them.

I bought a pack of these in the fall of 2009. First thing I did not like. The X nock fit Very loose in my Axis shafts. Took a doe that fall and when I picked arrow up there was no nock. Found it inside the deer while field dressing. Needed to wrap insert with teflon tape to keep them from falling out. For the rest of that season they worked good.
I keep my equipment inside for the winter so they (Nockturnals) never even got cold. So in the summer of 2010 two nock batteries were dead and the third was very dim. Maybe you all have the money to buy a new pack ever year but I don't

The Nockturnal X Lighted Nocks are the best overall Lighted Nocks I have used. They are by far the most reliable and accurate. They are very simple to operate and don't turn on or off when the shouldn't. You dont have to twist them or use a magnet. A simple switch turns them off. Firing turns them on.
I have tried the Easton tracers but after four of them stopped working after hitting deer or targets I switched to these. The Nockturnals are also brighter.
I just shot an 8 pointer he only went about 50 yards but I could not find him in the daylight so after waiting until dark I made small circles around my stand until I found the bright green glow of the Nockturnal. It saved the day!

They are sold in a variety of styles. The arrows you bought should say what style nocks they have. All you have to do is match them up.Most Easton arrows use the X nock. I know the FMJ I use do.

I am looking for a lighted nock that i can turn on/off with a switch, can replace the battery and stays lit for a few seconds after hitting the target but then goes out to save on battery life.Answers
A:Â
Not really they are all basically lighted nocks the will stay on or go to a blinking stage intill you shut them off. battery life in most lighted nocks are pretty long so you dont have to worry about that,Replaceable batt well i thing only three on the markat offer that. And why would you want them to go out after hitting the said target when they are made so you can recover your kill easier..Answers

Can the light be shut off, and how is it done. And what is the battery life or what ever powers it.
Answers
A:Â
Easy shut off instructions included w/ nocks - I insert the tip of my small pocket knife into the shut off hole at the junction of the nock & arrow and seperate the light from the power source.Takes a second.
A:Â
yes there is a little circle on the side and use the tip of a knife to slide the contact open towards the knockA:Â
Yes, on the side of the knock there's a place that you can can slide your knife blade or something small and push down to turn the light off. I think they told me 12 hours. In my opinion they are the best knocks out there.
A:Â
To turn off light there is a small reset hole located on one side of the nock. When you look into the reset hole to turn off look for metal casing of battery and color part of switch come together. Using a slender tool reach into seam between metal casing and color plastic separate color part of way from casing. See video on manufacturer web site: http://www.doubletakearchery.com/no....Battery last over 20 hours.
