Works good I like these for the fact that they enable me to use a knot that is much tighter than a fly line to leader knot. This allows the leader to be reeled up through the guides much easier and smoother than with a conventional line to leader knot. This is a big help with long leaders when landing a fish. I was skeptical of these and the possibility of failure(pulling out of the line) but thought I'd try them anyway. I don't recall ever having one of these pull out of my line although I have never caught any fish bigger than a couple of pounds while using these so I can't say how they would perform with larger fish. I haven't had any problems using these and they make re-tying leaders easier. July 22, 2012
Good Purchase I have been using Eyelets on my Fly Rods for over 50 years. Glad to find that you carry them as most stores do not. I purchased 2 sizes. The smaller size , installed on a friends new fly rod. I am coaching him on Fly Fishing. He is 84 years old. I am also coaching my Grand sons [7 to 12 yrs]. I started at age 10 and at 74, still love Fly Fishing. There is nothing quite like it. Thanks for the good service. July 12, 2012
The no knot eyelet...the best idea. It makes the tying very simple. The line is just tied to the eyelet instead of the 2 lines together. I use the small one. Just feed it into the line slow and straight. If your hand isn't that steady and it goes a little crooked, just cut that little piece off and do it again. You'll get it. June 30, 2012
excellent product I have used these products for many years however with the small size and my aging eyes it has become difficult to insert them properly especially in small size line. this time around I used a magnifying glass and I found that using a pin from my wifes sewing kit to open up the hole in the line first it was much easier to insert the eyelet August 11, 2011

Put it thru the eye once, twist the line together 6-8 times. take the end that you had put thru the eye, and put it thru the little loop you will find down by the eye. (not the eye) above the eye. Pull it thru enough so when you pull it tight, the end stays in the hole. Hopefully, I explained it right.
