Have only used it twice so far but flasher is very bright and can be seen from a distance. The clip is a bit small and not that easy to attach to collar.

Really like this. Lets me see where my black lab is at night when she has to go out. Only thing that would make it better would be a easier release where it snaps to the collar.

Running lights for dogs
I bought these for my two Black Labs who I occassionally walk at night. These lights are great in that they can be seen several hundreds away by approaching vehicles.
I'd go as far as to suggest walkers or joggers wear them as well while out in the dark.
I think they are inexpensive insurance.
