Nite Ize L.E.D. Upgrade for Mini Maglite
Extreme Light in a small package at a small price
I purchased this upgrade about a year and a half ago and recomend it to everyone. I use my light quite often while wading my local rivers and streams at night. With this inexpensive kit it seems to have trippled the light output from the same body and batteries, and since I have purchased it I have not yet had to recharge the batteries in my Mini Maglight. If you have the Mini Maglight without this addition your walking around in the dark.

Good replacement for bulb
This is a great way to extend the life of your batteries and get better light in the trade! When I got my Nite ize replacement bulb I got out a couple mag lites to put the 2 bulb kit I got into. Than when it got dark I turned out all the lights & couldn't believe the light that the Nite ize put out. And as a bonus like all diode based flashlights, these draw much less battery current so the batteries last much longer. I hope this company comes out with more products like this!

Brighter light but not the same as buying with LED
Pros: It definitely makes an older Maglite flashlight brighter, as well as making them have better battery life.
Cons: Though it does make the light brighter and last longer, it isn't the same as buying a Maglite that comes with the LED. I'm not sure why the newer models that come with LEDs are brighter, but they are. This is the only reason that I gave it 4 stars and not 5.
Conclusion: A good upgrade that is necessary for older Maglites.

Out geocaching one night and the bulb in my AA Maglite burned out. No problem I thought as I opened the tail cap to find NO SPARE BULB! Had already used it and forgot to replace it. Converted to this product and really like the brightness of the bulb. The extended battery life and no fear of it burning out during a cache raid sold me. I ordered the D-cell LED replacement last night for my big mag...
