Rated 5 out of 5 by Yadier The Best scope for the money!!
This is my first time leaving a review, but here goes! I needed a few scopes for my guns getting ready for deer Season , but could'nt spend a lot on them! I Have a few really nice scopes, a Bushnell 3200 Elite, a Nikon Buckmaster, and a Burris Fullfield II scope! They are all 3x9x40, except the Bushnell is a 3x9x50, to me my Bushnell 3200 Elite looked the brightest, and clearest, but now they were out of my pricerange!! I asked a guy at bass pro what he thought, and he liked the Nikon Buckmasters for the money, I looked it up and they were more expensive than I thought now too! I happened to see on the Bass Pro website Recommendations! One was for a Nikon Prostaff, so I checked them out! Some were on sale! They had a 3x9x40 with BDC reticle for $149.99 on sale, So I asked a guy that worked in the Bass pro store, If he thought they were a really good scope for the price? He said he thought so, he had more than 1 himself, and also he liked the Burris Fullfield II, So I ordered a couple of the Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 Rifle Scopes, and I couldn't be happier!! It was clearer than my older Nikon Buckmasters scope, and a hair Clearer than my Fullfield II's! It was as clear or a little clearer than my Bushnell Elite 3200 in with 50mm objective lens!! These scopes make your cheaper simmons, bushnell, and other brand scopes look bad! I turned around and bought 2 more right then! I have'nt fired them yet, I had back surgery less than a year ago, so I went to my Springfield Bass Pro store to have it sighted in at their gun range, by one of their Shooting Pros and they sighted them in for me at 100Yards! They sighted in great! They only charge $20.00, to have a pro, sight them in, at their shooting range on the lower floor at a full 100 yards!! If you have to spend very long sighting yours in, It will save you alot of time and money!! I used to take at least half a box of shells or more, to sight in a gun! With the price of shells today, It will save you a lot of money if you are like me, and it takes you several bullets,The pro that does it ,only used about 3 shells on each gun, I will have to tell you later how they hold zero! Anyway back to the Scopes! The Nikon Prostaff are now my favorite scopes!! They are all I will put on my Guns!! If you have never had a nice scope, usually people say they have to be a High dollar Scope, Not in this case! You will be amazed at what you have been missing!! with other cheap or inexpensive scopes! The optic is a big deal when it comes to making that perfect shot on a Big Buck! The Scope Clarity makes alot more difference now, than when I was 25 also!!

This scope makes number 5 for my husband! He loves the super clear optics of the Nikon scope and thinks it is the perfect size for hunting with. And believe me, he has done his share of comparison shopping and for the 5th time he has returned to his trusted Nikon with a lifetime warranty! Great scope!

I recently purchased the Nikon Prostaff 4-12 x 40 Rifle Scope. Mounted it on my Remington model 700, .270 cal. and right out of the box was on the paper. After 2 shots I was right were I wanted to be on target at 25 yards. Set up a hundred yard target and after 3 shots was hitting 2 1/4 to 2 1/2" above bullseye, which is what I was shooting for. The clarity is so good with this scope and the ease of adjustment is 2nd to none. I am glad I bought it over the Leupold scope.

I just put this on a Savage 30 - 06 and had it laser sighted at the store. In 3 rounds I had a 1 inch group at 100 yards using a four wheeler as a rest. At 200 yards I can see target holes with ease and have a 2 inch group using 150 grain bullets. Now I just need to figure out the rest of the circles distance using the BDC reticle
