I purchased this scope to put on a new Sako A7 in a 270. The scope is unbelievably clear. I shot a 5 shot group under 1 inch at 100 yards. My dad and brother also have Nikons on their rifles, and they have the same results that I had. I would definitely buy another.

I bought the 2x7x32 for my T/C Encore. After using open sights for years I needed a scope since my eyes can't focus on the fiber optic sights anymore. The quality of the optics on the Prostaff are exceptional; very clear with good eye relief. An added plus, the 2x7 offers a field of view of 44.5-12.7 feet at 100 yards. BPS listed the f.o.v. for the 2x7 shotgun scope, which is slightly less. For the price, you can't beat Nikon Prostaff.

All you need is a 3x9 scope for target up to 50 yards and use only 5-7 on target.

Great target & varmint optic.
I picked up and mounted the Nikon ProStaff 2-7x32 scope to my Ruger 10/22 used for both target shooting & varmint control. I really like the eye piece that lets you focus the image & crosshairs, and the scope holds a zero well even after riding in my car down rough country roads. I like the clarity of the optic, and has good eye relief & light transmission. I chose the 2-7x32 because I never seem to need anything above 6 or 7 power, and normally have it set on 4 power. I would highly recommend this scope, it is worth every penny.

Check you ballistic charts, its dead on with standard 30 caliber centerfires( 30-06, .308) however its in the (killzone) pie plate out to 500 yds for all calibers. You just have to shoot it to familerize with your gun.
