Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product This is a great little unit, small, compact very light, easy to carry into the deer stand and keep in a pocket or wear around your neck. Love the waterproof feature. Looking through the viewfinder there is a cross hair display which makes acquiring specific targets incredibly quick and easy. Ranges are displayed instantaneously in large legible numbers. While I have used other range finders this is my first purchase, and I would gladly recommend this product without hesitation. September 17, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality Rangefinder for the money There are tons of range finders out there and many are quite a bit more expensive. For the price this is a great rangefinder. I've used it so far to scout my hunting area, place my deerstands, and corn feeders. I've not used it in the rain yet but it has been extremely hot and humid. It performed just as it should. It's simple to use and the yardage display is in very large print where I don't need my reading glasses. August 14, 2012

A:
This would be good for Archery. However, no, the Nikon ProStaff 3 Rangefinder does not have the Nikon ID Technology like the Archer’s Choice (38-404-326-00), the RifleHunter 1000 (38-404-327-00), or the 550 (38-872-210-00).

What is the minimum range?

Answers

A:
10 yds is what I have found.

A:
Nikon claims 550 yards but very small items it will not range that far but large items it will range far past 550 yards. I have ranged boulders out to 700 yards.
