Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy Great Buy, I was looking for a cheaper range finder, as the wife hates when I walk into Bass Pro..:) I looked at everything in the cabinet. This was the easiest to read. Large display. The instant rebate sealed the deal for me. I've used this several times already and has worked flawless. September 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by nikon prostaff 3 i use 2 o 3 rangefinders befor but this one is the number 1. you no have to paid a lot off money for it, it work good. i like it! September 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great value I recently purchased the pro staff 3 due to the price (as I'm cheap) Used it for the first time at the bow range and in the Colorado Mountains. It works great and does everything that I wanted a rangefinder to do (just Range distance) You still have to make a good shot, and with a Bull Elk in the bag, I would say the Nikon did the job. Great Product!!! September 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great I looked at all the rangefinders in the cabinet at Bass Pro and this one was by far the best. It's easier to read, has bigger numbers and the display is just superior to anything else in that price range....simply put, it's worth the extra money. September 25, 2012

A:
This would be good for Archery. However, no, the Nikon ProStaff 3 Rangefinder does not have the Nikon ID Technology like the Archer’s Choice (38-404-326-00), the RifleHunter 1000 (38-404-327-00), or the 550 (38-872-210-00).

A:
Nikon claims 550 yards but very small items it will not range that far but large items it will range far past 550 yards. I have ranged boulders out to 700 yards.
