Rated 4 out of 5 by Range finder The Nikon Pro Staff 3 is a good range finder. It will suit most purposes just fine. I can't get a reading closer than 14 yards. From ther on back it does a good job. I would have liked it to start giving readins at the 10 yard mark. January 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by bang for your buck excellent product, very happy overall, can't wait to really put it threw its paces, it was on back-order, so i missed deer season, but it will come in handy for coyote1 January 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by nikon prostaff 3 rangefinder This is a great range finder i shot my deer at 320 yards thanx to my nikon prostaff 3 .its light weight very easy and fast to use There is no reason to spent houndreds of dollars on a range finder the prosfaff 3 is just perfect.it says it will reach 550 yards but it goes much farther ive ranged the top of the mountain behind my house at 703 yards.itsca great christmas present in fact i might buy another one just to have it.im also using a nikon prostaff scope on my hunting rifle best thing i ever spent my money on November 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nikon ProStaff 3 Rangefinders Upon receiving product, went outside and had no problem using it and one thing I like is you don't have to worry about turning it off, it will do that in a few seconds after releasing the button....saves on batteries. Plan on using on golf course also. November 16, 2012

A:
This would be good for Archery. However, no, the Nikon ProStaff 3 Rangefinder does not have the Nikon ID Technology like the Archer’s Choice (38-404-326-00), the RifleHunter 1000 (38-404-327-00), or the 550 (38-872-210-00).

A:
Nikon claims 550 yards but very small items it will not range that far but large items it will range far past 550 yards. I have ranged boulders out to 700 yards.
