Rated 4 out of 5 by Groundbinder Range finder The Nikon Pro Staff 3 is a good range finder. It will suit most purposes just fine. I can't get a reading closer than 14 yards. From ther on back it does a good job. I would have liked it to start giving readins at the 10 yard mark. January 9, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Donny2929 Nikon ProStaff 3 Rangefinders Upon receiving product, went outside and had no problem using it and one thing I like is you don't have to worry about turning it off, it will do that in a few seconds after releasing the button....saves on batteries. Plan on using on golf course also. November 16, 2012

Details:Does this range finder calculate the angle when in a tree stand like other range finders that are made specifically for archery?
A:This would be good for Archery. However, no, the Nikon ProStaff 3 Rangefinder does not have the Nikon ID Technology like the Archer’s Choice (38-404-326-00), the RifleHunter 1000 (38-404-327-00), or the 550 (38-872-210-00).
