Rated 5 out of 5 by RGR1504 perfect scope for S&W M&P15
I recently purchased this scope for my new Smith and Wesson M&P15. I knew I did not want a red dot scope for this rifle because I will use it for target and hunting mostly. I wanted something that I felt would provide accuracy and good magnification. This scope provides both of those things. The M&P15 is fairly accurate, even with cheap ammo, and this scope makes sure that you hit where you are aiming. It is not a tactical scope, per se, since target acquisition might be considerably slower than a red dot or holographic scope.
Some folks might want to go with the tacti-cool look of a red dot scope or an EO tech, but I have Nikon scopes on all my hunting rifles and they have served me well for many years. I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Red Great Scope, but lose the turrets.
Great value, perfect size, awesome clarity. The reticle is very easy to use. I love this scope. I would love it even more if it didn't have the turrets though. Capped turrets would be simpler, lighter and more robust. I would buy a 2nd scope if Nikon came out with an updated model without the turrets. Other than that, this scope is perfect. You won't find a better scope in this price range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MrMoose Bass Pro Comes through, again
This Nikon scope and other sizes, are a rock solid product in my experience. But what makes this purchase exceptional is Bass Pro making sure I got the best deal possible. Do you know of another supplier that will pass on savings to you that include free items that were not available at the time you made your order? B.P. can------------
The scope brought my Barnes Precission AR to life out to 400 yds. so far. The sight picture is very crisp, and low light shooting is much better than all other scopes I have used. The Nikon mounts, that came free with the scope are very solid, and can be used in different setups to make fit and function exceptional.
