This review is premature. I haven't mounted the Riflescope. Some Rifles are proprietary in the type of Mounts/Rings they require...as mine is. So, I will rectify the situation tomorrow, hopefully returning the new Rings.
I have no doubt of the capability of the P-223 Nikon Riflescope. NONE at all. It comes with a "LIFETIME" Warranty. I Didn't say "Limited". It doesn't matter if it changes "Hands"!
I plan to Deer/Boar Hunt this fall with the gun. It's really going to be something. One reason for this selection is Non-capped Turrets. The adjustment is RIGHT THERE and you can return to Zero quickly.

Good scope out of the box. For $149 it's a descent buy. Sighted in on a new Bushmaster AR-15 (the wife's) in less than five minutes. Holds zero so far. Be sure to get the P mounts and not the one-piece M mount as it will not work with this smaller scope.

Nice form factor for use on an M4. Mounted on my Bushmaster using P223 2i-piece mounts, mount appears good and solid. IMO, fixed 3x magnification is just about right for an M4. Clarity and sharpness is good & I like the reticle. Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that the turret adjustments tend to undershoot or overshoot the desired correction, which is not that uncommon in a relatively inexpensive scope. Once sighted in, it holds true under fire. All in all, quite happy with it.

No it doesn't, Nikon makes a special mount for it, which is like $50, or standard high rise mounts would work.1 of 1
