A high performance rifle scope designed specifically for high performance .223 AR rifles, the Nikon P-223 AR riflescope keeps you on target. Calibrated specifically for the .223 AR platforms, the P-223 features tactical-style turrets with a zero-Reset feature for extreme sighting speed and tremendous accuracy. The 100-yard Parallax setting eliminates parallax for precise shooting. Fully multicoated optics deliver tremendous brightness and light transmission for a bright, sharp image every time. Generous and consistent eye relief protects your eyes even with the heaviest recoiling cartridges. The P-223 scopes use 1", one-piece main body tubes for maximum strength and durability with minimum weight. Nitrogen-filled and O-ring seals for trustworthy waterproof and fogproof performance. Color: Matte Black.

Rapid Action Turret technology: This incredible new system, based on a .223/5.56mm 55-grain polymer tipped bullet, simply and effectively allows you to dial in your elevation anywhere from 100 to 600 yards away in less than one revolution
Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 46 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nikon P-223 3.9x40 BDC The Nikon BDC is all I've owned for quite a few years. The one I was looking for was out of stock. This is what they had and I had to have one because of leaving in the morning. My question is will this scope handle 7MM Mag ammo December 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by P-223 3x32 BDC Scope: Alot for so little! I am so impressed with this optic I specifically came here to write this review. If you do your research, you will find that nowhere else can you get so many quality features on such a small package. This optic can actually out perform 3-9 riflescopes by other manufacturers. The glass itself is of the highest quality, making for a crisp and bright sight picture, the BDC allows this scope to transition into a long range shooter without any effort on your part, and is accurate at long ranges as well. As of this writing I own 2 of these scopes. Although it is designed for the 5.56/.223 I placed the second scope on a 7.62x39 and re-calculated my BDC ranges with 0 effort, and could not possibly be happier. Lightweight, compact, no need for batteries, and very sturdy construction. This could be the basis for a whole new classification of scopes. November 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent AR optics I mounted My Nikon P-223 3x9 onto my new built 20" fluted bull barrel AR with the hope that I'll be hunting coyote and other varmints with it. I also used the Nikon ballistic calculator to assist me with the preliminary sight in and I'm ecstaticic with the results. I would recommend the Nikon P-223 scope as a high quality scope at a very affordable price. October 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by P223 scope The scope reticles are for the xm193 with 55gr bullet out of a 20" barrel at 3240 FPS. If using a M4 carbine vel will be less so you to modify the ranges in the scope. Spot on program very good September 22, 2013

It seems like a good scope for the price but the most important question I need answered is how well does it perform at night? I do a lot of hog hunting at night with spotlights and feeder lights and I need a scope with good light transmission. Please help!

The P-223 scopes provide excellent light transmission, for example the P-223 3x32 Matte BDC Carbine provides a Fully Multicoated Optical System: Provides up to 98% light transmission and maximum brightness from dawn to dusk.

No. Suggest you look online at Nikon.com or actually look through one at a dealer to see what the reticle is like.

No it doesn't, Nikon makes a special mount for it, which is like $50, or standard high rise mounts would work.
