A high performance rifle scope designed specifically for high performance .223 AR rifles, the Nikon P-223 AR riflescope keeps you on target. Calibrated specifically for the .223 AR platforms, the P-223 features tactical-style turrets with a zero-Reset feature for extreme sighting speed and tremendous accuracy. The 100-yard Parallax setting eliminates parallax for precise shooting. Fully multicoated optics deliver tremendous brightness and light transmission for a bright, sharp image every time. Generous and consistent eye relief protects your eyes even with the heaviest recoiling cartridges. The P-223 scopes use 1", one-piece main body tubes for maximum strength and durability with minimum weight. Nitrogen-filled and O-ring seals for trustworthy waterproof and fogproof performance. Color: Matte Black.

Rapid Action Turret technology: This incredible new system, based on a .223/5.56mm 55-grain polymer tipped bullet, simply and effectively allows you to dial in your elevation anywhere from 100 to 600 yards away in less than one revolution
Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 46 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Scope, but lose the turrets. Great value, perfect size, awesome clarity. The reticle is very easy to use. I love this scope. I would love it even more if it didn't have the turrets though. Capped turrets would be simpler, lighter and more robust. I would buy a 2nd scope if Nikon came out with an updated model without the turrets. Other than that, this scope is perfect. You won't find a better scope in this price range. April 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Compact Size! Very clear and great set up for cqc or 600 yard shots! With the Nikon Spot On you can also use this scope for other calibers. April 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome scope Bought the 4x12x40 model since Bass Pro Shop had on special for the same price as the 3x9x40. Put on my Diamondback db-15 ar15 and looks great. Went to range and right out of the box it only took one adjustment and I was in the bulls eye. Nice and clear view, and super easy to use. March 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny I mounted this scope on my "Brothers In Arms"(Tulsa OK) AR. My 16 yr old sighted the gun in and said " that's good enough for me". I thin ran 4 rounds at 100 yards with about a 5 mph cross wind. We were shooting 8" targets with a 2.5" 10 ring. The first three were in the 10 ring just outside the X dot. My last round was in the 8 ring, mostly because I was laughing at my son frustration of not hitting as well. I have another AR I am going to install another one of these on. The glass is the normal great Nikon clear glass and a very well made product. As usual for Nikon, another great product! February 18, 2014

It seems like a good scope for the price but the most important question I need answered is how well does it perform at night? I do a lot of hog hunting at night with spotlights and feeder lights and I need a scope with good light transmission. Please help!

A:
The P-223 scopes provide excellent light transmission, for example the P-223 3x32 Matte BDC Carbine provides a Fully Multicoated Optical System: Provides up to 98% light transmission and maximum brightness from dawn to dusk.

A:
No. Suggest you look online at Nikon.com or actually look through one at a dealer to see what the reticle is like.

No it doesn't, Nikon makes a special mount for it, which is like $50, or standard high rise mounts would work.
