Rated 5 out of 5 by King4 Ruger Guide gun
I have this mounted on my Ruger Guide Gun 30-06 and it's perfect for those shots when you find your self faced with only 20-30 yards of shooting distance in dense brush. Excellent sight picture and quick target acquisition make this scope a must for any guide or for those in rough, dense country.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wilem super clarity, easy adjustment, solid
I installed this on my run of the mill Remington model 700 270 ADL. I used hand-loads of nosler 130 grain ballistic tip spitzer rounds with 56 grains of IMR 4831 powder and cci primer. OAL of 3.427 @ 100 yds the bullets all touch and @ 200 the first BDC brought me to withing 2 inches low of the bulls-eye without ever reading the "how to" on using the BDC system. (It was a little breezy and a slight incline)The zero-able turrets are great. My first outing had me taking a 125 yd shot at a nice 8 pt buck through all kinds of brush in the late afternoon. bullet easily made it through the "window" between two large trees and brought my venison down. The next afternoon was similar, very close shot at 50 yds 30 minutes after sunset, very dark, and placed a neck shot on a nice doe. the light gathering of this scope made my old simmons 44 mag look pathetic. There is a whole lotta bang for the buck in this package. It gave me confidence I never had before. The bullet groups are tighter (maybe hand loads) but the clarity and light gathering compared really pleased me, best hunting money spent so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Coffee Crystal Clear
This is my 3rd Monarch from Bass Pro. I placed it on a single shot 30.06. For long range shooting. The optics are crystal clear and the BDC is always on point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bulldawghunter Easily the best scope I've owned.
This scope has amazing lenses. I took it outside and looked through it at 9x comparing it with a 2 year old Prostaff and an older Leupold and there was no comparison. The field of view was slightly larger, crystal clear, and crisp from edge to edge. Also the eye relief is very generous when mounted to a higher caliber rifle, no worries about scope eye. If I were to be extremely picky, the only disadvantage I could find would be that the magnification adjustment ring is a little stiff and takes more effort to turn than other scopes. Maybe this was intentional so that you couldn't bump the scope and accidentally move the magnification. Either way, its an excellent steal for the current Fall discount price. (I have the 2.5-10 x 42mm)
