Had to send in for loose eye piece as they turned just by rubbing against your body. Never heard from nikon, so I contacted and they told me they had an estimate for me. date or charge I ask? $22. they also need proof of purchase even though service order paper work doesn't request it. nikon warranty states you don't even have to be original owner. what a hassle. I have total of 5 nikons. NO more nikons for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DanMinCA Nice and clear
I bought the Nikon Monarch 3 binoculars in camo for this year's deer season. I have taken them out in the field a few times now and so far they have been excellent. They are bright and clear and easy to adjust the focus for near or far objects. I liked the fact that the bottom lens caps were attached to the body of the binoculars. The lens caps for the eye portion don't really do much good because they are too loose. It has been really dry in my area so I can't speak to the waterproof or fogproof feature yet, but hopefully they hold up if or when it ever rains out here. I also can't speak of the durability just yet. I got these on sale and so far they appear to be a great value considering what I paid for them. I am only giving them 4 stars because I have not had them long enough to rate the durability as well as the lens cap issue.

Bought a pair of Nikkon Binos and the caps just fall off. Don't like that. Called Nikkon and they said they are supposed to do that. I can see making them easy to flip off for quick viewing, but they are so loose I'd have to keep them in the case for fear I'd damage the lenses. Love the Binos, but hate the caps. Will return them and buy another brand that I can acually hang around my neck.
