Rated 4 out of 5 by OK with some improvements suggested I was 900 miles from home enroute to my hunting trip when I realized I had left my binos at home. I had a budget for my trip and I figured I could go no more than $200 tax included for my binos. The department in Bass Pro was extremely busy but finally a sales clerk asked what I was looking for. It was hard to see all the binos in the case with the crowd. I did notice the 50mm objective on the 16X bino. The objective was the same size as on my rifle so I took those. No discussion or comment from the sales guy, he just handed me the binos and went back to the rifle shoppers. Clarity of binos is good. They do fog up. The objective lens caps do not secure well unlike the rear caps that stay on the steal. I wish I had know they also carry this in variable power I would have opted for that. Nice bino case. I got a nice 6 pointer by checking him out with the binos before I decided to take hi,. Overall an OK bino at this price point. February 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Crisp Views You won't be sorry, these binoculars are very nice for a reasonable price. I use these often for viewing big objects in the sky. For comparison, I was able to see Jupiter's moons with these but not with a similarly priced competitor. Excellent crisp views, I highly recommend. January 3, 2013

A:
They are waterproof (up to 5m/16.4 ft. for 10 minutes)
Per the instruciton manual -Waterproof/fogproof construction features a nitrogen-filled body with O-ring seals

A:
Technically, no. To be assured waterproof/fogproof binocs you need to buy nitrogen filled ones (and they will be billed as water/fogproof). In Nikons, this would be their action extreme line, (which also have fancier eyecups) costing more than action. However, I hand out four pairs of 8X40 actions to Yellowstone guests on my tours everyday in all weather conditions--my only precaution is not leaving them in a cold vehicle overnight, which I can do with extremes--and have had no problems with fogging (till someone drops a pair in a creek someday!).
