need to buy bigger size.bought these for my husband its the same ones he has been wearing for years but these were to tight even tho its the size he always gets tried to get bigger size but they're out of just about all sizes. We would of gave it 5 stars thats how much he likes them but the size runs small and we cant get him a different pair because they are out hope they get them back

I am very happy with the shoe. I wear it outside in all conditions both at home and at work. The outside of the shoe is tuff and the tread gives plenty of traction and I see no signs of it delaminating. I would recommend a half size larger size if you wear thicker socks. Easy to get on and off and Lightweight. Tread does track mud.

Second pair I have had; Great, great shoe! Extremely comfortable. The only issue is that the design of the bottom allows for mud, etc. to adhere, which then tracks inside the house! Worth the disadvantage in terms of comfort and wearability.

This is the third pair I have owned in NB's 970 series. I wear them almost every day, for indoor and outdoor work, town, hiking and even light hunting, and find them comfortable, durable, and WATERPROOF. Unlike NB's other "waterproof" shoes, which are NOT - "water resistant" is more like it - these have a GoreTex liner, not just a water repellent finish.
If you are looking for a shoe that can go from a casual office, to a restaurant, to a three hour drive in the truck, to the woods, all in one day, all while looking good and not even thinking about wet feet, this is it.
I do find that these run about 1/2 size shorter than the previous model, but since half sizes were not available in my size (13 EE) I just went with it and after a week or so the shoes stretched out a bit and I'm fine. If they have 1/2 sizes in your size go up 1/2. Width seems true to previous models. The padding around the collar is not as thick as the previous models, which is good since it doesn't require a break-in period like the old ones did.
The insole liners are a bit cheap but easy to fix if and when needed. If you want the ultimate in comfort get a pair of NB's Pressure Relieving Insoles (which Bass Pro doesn't sell at this time, unfortunately) - they'll set you back about $40 and make the shoe feel a little tighter at first, but worth every penny once everything is broken in. I automatically buy a pair with every new pair of NB shoes I buy, and have them in all my "serious" hunting boots.
