Drawbacks are you need to keep very steady. Arrow could jump off riser easily. Also could be quieter (metal / carbon against metal = noise). Buy a good quality for dampener, and that will help.
Pros are it's a mechanically sound design. Performs solidly (dependable & accurate#. Helps increase arrow speed #though not as much as a full drop rest). And it's not at a bad price point.

worst $28 bucks i ever bought
I have a PSE stinger pulling 50 lbs. I previously had a whisker bisquik that come with the bow. I liked it but it was too noisy so i bought this. It was great until i started praticing for 4-H and putting 100-150 shots a day. It went off track ond where the arrow fits wiggles back and forth messin up my shots. I wouldnt recommend it unless you love cheap arrow rest

A great rest.
I have the same rest at home on my 08 rock that i cought from basspro. The rest is easy to adjust but i would recomend the Quicktune fork dameners. It makes a big difference in the noise.
