I was in a pinch and didn't have much money to spend on footware. Just got finished with a 20 mile hike on the AT.....4 of which was off trail, up and down a ridge. For a 20 dollar pair of hiking boots, these bad boys did "OK". My feet stayed dry, plenty of support and good shock protection. Only negative I can think of was not a grippy as I would want. Busted my butt in a boulder field.....no broken bones though...lol

These shoes do run at least a half size large as stated in other reviews. I ordered a half size smaller than I usually wear and they fit perfect. I got these on clearance for $19. With tax and shipping they were about $27. The shoes were comfortable right out of the box with no break in required. They look to be well made and durable (time will tell). I've only worn them about 5 or 6 times for light hiking, but so far I'm pleased with them. Not bad for under $30.

i wear 7M, got it and it is very loose almost 7.5, i don;t if i should just wear thicker socks to compensate for the larger size than stated. i have purchased hiking boots before from bass pro had no problem.
maybe it's this particular brand, and it is CHEAP, i guess i am getting what i paid for, some shoes made in third world country with low quality standards. i am debating on whether return the boots or not. remember it runs at least 1/2 larger than stated.

Shoe fits really well, is nicely put together and good looking. Have worn them twice so far and never noticed I had on new shoes like some I've tried.
