The Napier Sportz 57 Series Truck Tents allows you to sleep comfortably protected in the bed of your pickup. Its shock-corded, color coded Durawrap fiberglass and steel poles allow for fast set up in as little as 10 minutes. Bed straps provide a secure, worry-free anchor and wrap the side of the tent over the side of your truck to ensure rain drips down and away from your sleeping area. Tent wall and roof is constructed of 1200mm PU polyester taffeta, while the full rain fly has taped seams to protect you against the wettest weather. The truck tent provides a comfortable sleeping area for two with its patented sewn-in nylon taffeta waterproof coated floor and more than 5'7'' of headroom. Enjoy two ceiling vents and two large NO-See-Um mesh windows with middle divider to allow for optional ventilation. The tent's 4' x 4' awning secures to the tailgate and does not require guide ropes to provide shade or protect bulky gear. A convenient rear access panel allows you to access the cab to run cords from the cab to the tent without leaving the tent! Features two interior pockets to help keep gear organized and out of the way. Includes expandable carrying bag for storage included. Weight: 21 lbs. Rated for three season use. Center height: 68''. Imported.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice tent, poor instructions I recently purchased this tent for an upcoming camping trip and did a test setup in my driveway on my 2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab with a 6.5 foot bed. The tent fits great! It took me about 30-40 minutes to setup by myself after having looked at the video instructions on the manufacturer's website. Like many other reviews I've read, the actual color of some of the tent poles is not the same as in the instructions, so it made setup a little more challenging than it should have been, but it's pretty easy to figure it out with a little trial and error. That's why I only rated it 4 stars. To make setup easier next time I used a label maker and labeled each pole with its exact location. The tent is much roomier inside than I expected. The big windows allow a lot of air flow and the cab window screen opens completely to allow you to run cords from the cab of your truck into the tent. July 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good purchase The directions were not too clear and diagrams would help tremendously for each step. Shock cords were not color coded correctly. One set was to be orange and there was not orange ones. We had to guess which ones went where. Again, directions need to be better written and step by step photos to match. October 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Color Blind? Got the tent in good order from Bass Pro and wife and I decided to set it up before my upcoming dove hunting trip. Unpacked the carrying case and spread the parts out on the living room floor. Behold the Orange poles that are not Orange but are actually dark gray. Due to my wife's superior deductive reasoning skills (I have none) we were able to get the tent together in fairly short order. (about 45 minuted start to finish) The pole that goes over the entryway is, in my opinion, about a foot too long. If you are not 6'10" you'll probably never get the rain cover on this puppy. It was easy to break down and get back into the carrying case. Hint: Take your time and it will go together pretty easy. Looks great and I'm anxious to try it out. August 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Unexpected Quality Great tent! I purchased this tent so I could sleep on a level surface off of damp/wet grounds at camp sites. It lasted a Michigan 4 day camping trip from weather ranging from 90 degrees during the day, after the front moved through the temps dropped down to 50 at night with a constant lake wind of 35+ mph and even heavy downpours. No leaks and it stayed intact! Setup wasn't a big deal and had adequate ventilation during the hot spell. Lots of room. So far so good. August 11, 2013

I wouldn't try that since the material is pretty thin and would rip easily in 65MPH winds.

NO, driving with the tent set up may cause personal injury or damage to your truck. It is not recommended to fit over your cargo while driving. Tarps and tie down straps work best for covering cargo while traveling.

A:
I have a 2008 Tundra Double Cab with a 6.5 foot bed. This tent fits nicely in my truck, but I think it may be a bit too long for a 5 foot bed. The door will definitely be at the edge of the opened tailgate, if not hanging over slightly. However, the label on the tent bag says it will fit a 5.5 foot bed on a Tundra or a 5 foot bed on a Tacoma.

They do not say on their web site if it would work or not. I would say yes but you might check to make sure the measurement would be correct.

Measure your truck bed from the back of the truck cab to where the tailgate begins. DO NOT INCLUDE THE TAILGATE IN THE MEASUREMENTS.

With a tonneau cover installed and open (at 45 degree angle from just behind the cab), do you think you finagle this tent to fit? Would be great to use at night but still have the security of a locked truck bed during the day.

No, I don't think it would work at all. You wouldn't be able to get the support poles in place properly.
