I would recommend this crossbow for 9-11 yr. old children. My son, and now his friend, have enjoyed playing with NXT generation crossbow. They are super cool and can be refilled with NERF gun refills. This crossbow is absolutely safe for indoor use (if you are ok with that), but it still has a powerful enough shot to make playing with it enjoyable and rewarding for the child.

I bought 2 crossbow kits for my 10 and my 12 year old boys for Christmas. They have had such a great time with them! The foam projectiles shoot far and even though the boys wanted "real" crossbows, they absolutely loved these toy ones.

Fantastic present, but get two of them. Lots of fun and seems quite safe, even for rambunctious kids. Some assembly required, but my teens managed it.

I purchased this for my oldest son and he has had a blast with it....watch out though because the bullets have some power behind them coming out of this crossbow. It has been fun indoors and out!

I would like to know what this is made of ...my son is a rough six year old....but not quite ready for a real cross bow. Just wanted to know if it was plastic or a sturdy material.

very durable plastic, trust me it would take a lot for a 6 yr old to break this!

It is a strong plastic. My nine year old has to really pull hard to pull back the elastic. He has used it ALOT and so far it has held up well.A:

We just bought this for my 6yr old he loves it. It is a heavy duty plastic and i feel like it is built well I was worried about it being cheaply made when i was shopping on line. But it is pretty sturdy the plastic is thick in the areas its needs to be. I think you should be fine. Hope this helps :)1 of 1
