I gave this as a Christmas present to my friends son, and he loved it so much he fell asleep with it that night! He is younger than the minimum age, but he did just fine with it. It wasn't too big for him to handle, he's a pro! He loves any toy that is a gun or in the Nerf family, and this bow was his favorite Christmas present. Great buy.

My Grandsons thought they were awsome, they played all day with them. They are 10 & 12 years old and just love to play soldier. I bought extra darts for them and that was also a plus since they only come with 4 or 8.

Had an "early" Christmas with the grandkids this weekend and this Crossbow, along with the inflatable deer and additional ammo, was the favorite gift of my 7 year old grandson, even though he has not shown any previous interest in hunting or archery. The deer is lifesize and seems sturdy. The bow worked suprisingly well.

I would like to know what this is made of ...my son is a rough six year old....but not quite ready for a real cross bow. Just wanted to know if it was plastic or a sturdy material.

very durable plastic, trust me it would take a lot for a 6 yr old to break this!

It is a strong plastic. My nine year old has to really pull hard to pull back the elastic. He has used it ALOT and so far it has held up well.A:

We just bought this for my 6yr old he loves it. It is a heavy duty plastic and i feel like it is built well I was worried about it being cheaply made when i was shopping on line. But it is pretty sturdy the plastic is thick in the areas its needs to be. I think you should be fine. Hope this helps :)1 of 1
