My son was wanting a real crossbow, but I didn't think that was such a great idea for a 6 year old. He found this toy and thought it would be fun. He was so right! Our whole family (myself, husband and daughter) have been setting up targets with him and shooting with this crossbow. The darts definitely fly! I'm sure we will be buying another one very soon for some friendly, family competitions.

For the suction cups to stick to a hard flat surface (such as a window or wall), my son stands back about 10-12 feet. But if your child wants to just walk around outside and pretend he's hunting, the ammo will project about 20 feet.Answers

If you want to hit the tartget, no more than 15 feet. If you are shotting it outside up into the air with no wind, about 30 feet. The problem is soft darts, need to get different ones to get a longer range.1 of 1
