My initial thought was this is a good broadhead, but after shooting and using it on several occasions I have changed my mind.
The bleeder blades did not stand up and on two different occasions came loose and slid down the arrow shaft cutting into and rendering the arrow useless. The first time this happened I thought could have been an isolated incident, but the second time was too much.
I did experience good arrow flight, good penetration, but very faulty constuction with the bleeder blade inserts.

You will be amazed at the blood trail when shooting these Muzzy Phantoms. Unlike any I've ever seen. Overall these are an amazing broadhead. They come out of the package super sharp and fly true from a well tuned bow. When you're ready to hunt just, resharpen the main blade and put in new bleeder blades and you're ready for a good harvest. Big thumbs up from me!!

Of course, I realize that turkey hunting is all about shot placement, but I've been searching for a good broadhead for turkey for a while now. I realize that feel (so to say) has a lot to do with the answers I may get to this question, but I simply want to know if this will provide enough penetration to take a turkey down without sacrificing all of the potential meat I may be able to get.Answers

Great for turkey penetrate well and the blades seem to flex between bones without breaking them.A:Â
It is a great broadhead for penetration but will not tear up the meat with good shot placementTop 100 Contributor

get a head called the "guillotine" im not sure if thats how you spell it but it works great for turkey.A:Â
Yes you can use them on turkeys, they will kill turkeys but in my opinion there are better choices. I like the Rocket Hammerhead for turkeys.Top 1000 Contributor

These will do a good job on turkeys. Anything with a 2-blade fixed blade design is really good at getting penetration. However because of the resilient nature of turkeys after being shot, I like to shoot the Magnus stinger Buzzcut because it hase the serrated portion which does a little more damage. It really does not tear the meat up much.Answers

the bleeder blades you can take off the head and will turn the 100 grain broadhead into 80 grain head. the head works great and killed a hog yesterday with it.A:Â
They give you more cutting area and a larger wound channel.A:Â
The bleeder blades provide additional cutting to increase the flow of blood and they also make a bigger hole at entrance, passing through and the exit; therefor, a lung shot will have a bigger hole in the lungs, or a heart shot will have a bigger hole in the heart thus the deer dies sooner.1 of 1
