perty good well,i give it a 5 because i shot a big DOE,20 yards away, high, but came out low, double lunged, maybe made it 30 yards and collapsed. The only downfall,if thier is one for dropping at 30 yards is that there was not a single drop of blood, but hey my vision aint the greatest ! October 27, 2009
THE all around broadhead I am a bow only hunter so finding the perfect broadhead was essential. I have tried 2 blade rage, reg 3 blade muzzy, mx-3, G5 tekkan II, and the mx-4. I can truely say the muzzy mx-4 is the best broadhead you can get. It scores above average in every category.(penetration, cut size, durability, and flight) The rage will blow holes in deer as long as you shoot a VERY fast bow(or are really close) but will break on EVERY shot($45 for 3)(mx-4 $23). I have gotten insane penetration, Huge holes, and very few bent blades. As far as blood trails I have gotten to my truck gone to take my boots off to find the toes of the boots covered in blood after following blood trails. Yea they are that insane. You can not ask for anything better. I am basing this off just this season but I have killed 6 so far so I know all there is to know. I keep going away from muzzy and trying new broadheads just to have something different i guess, but always end up with less money in my pocket and muzzy tippin my arrows. The picture is one of two does I took this morning. The broadhead just SMACKed when it hit her blowing a huge hole straight through her. She dropped in 60 yds November 7, 2009
muzzy is slippin I have been shooting Muzzys for several years now and have been very happy. I purchased two packs of the MX-4's. I shoot Easton Axis arrows. There should not but any problems tuning broadheads. I spun the MX-4 heads and they had a little whobble to them. I shot them three times each. They were off the mark by three to five inches from my three blade Muzzys and field points. To add to the disapointment they all now had terrible whobble to them. I have had two other friends have the same problem. I have sent the heads back to Muzzy and they sent me back two brand new packs that I will be returning as soon as possible. September 24, 2006
muzzy 4 blade 100 grain broadheads I have killed several deer with Muzzy's and found that they do a very good job of penetrating and damaging everything that they come in contact with. Very reliable. The only place that I can see a little improvement is the centering of the broadhead when tightened on the arrow. Not every Muzzy broadhead will go to true center of the arrow which causes the arrows to sail a little. I do rate Muzzy's an excellent product. May 5, 2006
