The Mustad® Wide Gap Bait Hook is an essential addition to most any tackle box. The Wide Gap Bait Hook is wide enough to hold most bait and has a ringed eye. Its slightly reversed point helps keep bait and fish secure after hook sets. Bronze finish.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hook Love these hooks. Very sharp and great hook set use for Pike Musky live bait. April 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mustad hook This is a great hook. I use it for Striped bass in fresh water. Trout, reds, and even Spanish with about a 40# leader in salt water. It's light allowing live bait to swim. July 5, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mustad hooks are great I have used theses hooks for 5 years the best I have used June 24, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great hook once you get the hook set, the fish isn't coming of unless he breaks the line or gets hung up. Bass pro needs to carry 6/0, 7/0, and 8/0 hooks for catfishermen. February 13, 2011

It depends on what type of fish you're after. I fish for largemouth bass and use a 1/0 or 2/0 hook size.

no. It's straight, but you can easily make it offset if you like.

A:
no, the point is inline with the eye. Its very similar to a circle hook but with a smaller gauge wire.

Mustad #37140 is bronze, and #37141 is nickel. Other than that, they are the same hook type: wide-gap bait hook.
