The hooks seem to be o.k. but if any impovement could be made it is the strength. However the the leader was strong enough you could probable straighten them out without loosing the entire slow death assembly. Leader line needs to be strong(8 to 10 lb line).

Used these hooks with a gulp pumpkin seed nightcrawler on a bottom bouncer. The slow rolling action is just a killer. I was catching walleyes 3 to 1 over 3 other guys in the boat. I had pounder gills hammer it too. The red hooks seems to be a bit more advantage.

The actionof the slo death hook is in a world of it's own. It diffenently catchs fish when nothing else works. You will outfish other fisherman.

this is an excellent hook for walleye. i use berkley gulp nightcrawlers and it works excellent if you thread it and leave some hanging.
