Improve your hookups on crankbaits! Mustad KVD Elite Triple Grip Treble Hooks offer precision, power and UltraPoint Technology. The special KVD shape combines hooking capability with exceptional holding properties. A 2X short shank eliminates hook tangling and allows you to use larger hooks. Extra strong wire means minimal flex and better penetration at hook set.  A modified, wider point angle creates a wider gap than like-sized round bend treble hooks. Because they use UltraPoint Technology, KVD Elite Triple Grip Treble Hooks are 20% sharper and designed to stay sharper longer.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best treble hooks ever I love rapala crank baits but I loose big fish on the vmc hooks that come on them. I have lost 7 fish over 5 pounds on fayeytte county lake this spring so I decided to make some adjustments. I switched all of my crank bait hooks to these and fish come out of the water to shake them only to get hooked more. Have not lost a fish since. March 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by best hooks on the market I swap out all my crankbait hooks with these triple grips....I honestly can't remember the last time a fish came "unbuttoned" since I switched to Mustad Triple Grip trebles March 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Only Trebles I use I use these one every Crankbait I own. A must for a serious fisherman. December 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A MUST These treble hooks are a must for all crankbaits, top water and rattle traps. I move up one size on all my new hardbaits and it has proven to be a great plus. October 16, 2013

A:
The 2X short means that the shank of the treble is not a long as others on the market (almost twice a short!). One key aspect of this feature is one can typically increase the size of your hooks on a crankbait lets say and not have them tangle with each other. The 1X strong means that you get a heavier gauge wire of hook and they will not bend out on big fish or fish that you may have to get out of cover.

A:
1x and 2x strong mean that the wire is heavier and the over hook is much stronger but also heavier... and if they say short they are talking about the shank of the hook... If you are using a short shank treble hook you can use a bigger hook and not have to worry about the hooks getting tangled together...

A:
The series 4 are #4 hooks, the 1/4 ounce (series 3) are # 6's, and the square bills are either $4 or #2, depending on wether it is the 1.5 or 2.5 model. But because the KVD elite series treble have extra short shanks, you can upsize your hooks. I recommend #2's for the series 4, #4s for the Series 3 (1/4 ounce), #2's for the 1.5 and #1's or #1/0s for the 2.5. However, I don't think BPS sells the #1's or #1/0s.
