Mustad UltraPoint Ultra NP Feather Treble
I Don't Like The Red Feathers
The red dressed feathered trebles bleed when it gets wet. I didn't know this when I put a lure that I changed out the rear treble to one of the Mustad red dressed treble. After I used it, I put ithe lure w/ the other lures that I've already used. When I got home those lures were smeared w/ red dye that bled from the Mustad dressed treble. I wasn't too happy w/ this, it took me quite some time to remove the red from my lures. Some of them are still stained, it won't come off.
Unless you want your lures to change colors avoid using these hooks. Or you can keep the lures w/ this treble hook separate from you other lures.

Mustad Dressed Trebles
I love them. I replace them on all my PopX baits. They really give the Bass something to key on. I like the red mylar feathers the best. I find that it has no affect on the action of the bait. If anything, it adds to the movement of the bait. Get some, you won't be disappointed.

Mustad Dressed Trebles
The Mustad dressed treble hook is great except for the ones with red
feathers. The red dye from the feathers bled or transferred to the top
of my cork fishing rod handle. I was fishing at night on shore in the
fall season when the water temperatures start to get colder. When I
finished fishing, I put the trailer hook (a Mustad Dressed Treble Hook
with red feathers) on the hook keep on my fishing rod. The red
feathers, still damp, bled red dye, which was absorbed by the cork at
the top of my rod handle. I am not sure how I can get the red dye out
of my cork rod handle. For this reason, I cannot recommend this product to my friends especially if they have expensive fishing rods with cork fishing handles.

Every bit helps
I have used the Mustad dressed hooks for a while now. I feel it does help. I think when you replace a plain treble hook with a dressed one (on just about any lure}. It gives the lure a little more of a life like look. I would suggest it to anyone . Just to try it if you have not yet and find out it does make a difference in your fishing. The one thing i do not like is the durability of it. I wish that it would last longer. Aftre a numer of hits the feathers start to fray apart.
